Description
Students who have a valid Driver’s License and are a Junior or Senior at St. Charles North High School have the opportunity to park on campus. Our parking lot is arranged with assigned number spots. We offer two types of parking spots: “Everyday” and “1st Semester/2nd Semester.” “1st Semester” means that students can park every day from the first day of school until the end of 1st semester finals. “2nd Semester” means that students can park every day beginning on the first day of the 2nd semester through the last day of school. “Everyday” parking spots cost $200, “Semester” parking spots cost $100. Freshman and Sophomores are not eligible to apply for parking permits. Our parking spots are assigned via a lottery system (randomized assignment of numbers).
Parking on campus is a privilege. Students must be in good standing, adhere to behavior expectations including consistent attendance, in order to continue to drive and park on school grounds.
The Process:
Student Application: Complete this online PARKING PERMIT APPLICATION FORM by the last day of school, Thursday May 29th. Designate the grade on the form for the 2025-2026 school year. You will get an email with confirmation of your responses once you submit the google form.
Parent/Guardian Signature: Complete this Parking Signature Form. This form must be printed, signed, and turned in during the Material Pick-Up days.
Notification of Parking Spot: The dean’s office will evaluate all applications and run the lottery to assign parking spots during the summer months. Students who receive a parking permit will be notified via email by August 2025.
Submit Payment: You may submit payment via Pushcoin, Cash, or Check. You will need to submit payment prior to picking up your parking placard. If you choose to pay in person via check, please make the check payable to St Charles North High School.
Attend a Material Pick-Up Day in August to get your parking spot number and placard. You must have a completed parking permit application and submitted payment in order to get your parking placard.
Requirements:
Junior or Senior in the 2025-2026 school year
A completed Parking Permit Application Form
A valid Driver’s License
Completed Parking Signature Form
$100 payment for a one semester permit, $200 for an every day permit (done through PushCoin, cash, or check)
Handicapped Parking
If a student requires handicapped parking, he/she must get a note from his/her doctor that he/she then presents at the DMV where he/she will be issued a handicapped permit. Handicap Permits are not issued by the school.
Temporary Parking
Temporary parking is for students who are in possession of a current parking permit and are in need of parking on an emergency basis. Students must receive approval from their Dean to obtain a temporary pass. Reasons to use a temporary pass could potentially include: doctor/dental appointments, or court appearances, and having verification of a permit from the Attendance/Dean's Office to leave the building. Participation in morning and after school activities or AP testing are not considered valid reasons to purchase temporary parking.
Disclaimers:
SCN administration understands that each student/family has unique circumstances that may require a student to receive an everyday parking permit. However, we cannot prioritize the needs of each individual student/family. The best way to obtain a parking permit is to ensure your application for a parking permit is submitted on time and correctly.
Reasons that will not automatically qualify a student for everyday parking include (but are not limited to): sports, work, unscheduled first or eighth hour, or living out of district.
Seniors and Juniors enrolled in academic-related programs (ECC Part-time Dual Credit Courses, CO-OP, Teaching and Learning Practicum, Internships, and BNAT or Cosmetology through Fox Valley Career Center) will be given priority for an Everyday Permit given the transportation requirements of their school-related academic program.
If you are an early graduate or leave before the end of the year, you must return your permit to the Dean’s Office. There may be availability for other students to receive permits as they become available.
Sophomores are not eligible to apply for parking permits. If a sophomore is found parking on campus during the current school year, they may become ineligible to apply for a permit junior year.
